The VA is obligated to get the evidence in support of your claim ! If your unit was under attack, it should be documented in your VietNam Unit Records, therefore, the VA should send for such records to determine that your outfit was under attack. I contacted my Senator at this time cuz the VA said it would take 10 -12 months to get these records, my Senator got these records and I had a check in my hand with-in 3 months ! So Senators & Congressmen do help!
