The same thing happend to me. I was on board the USS Chicago CG-11 in 1969 when I injured my knee. I was helicoptered over to Vietnam and then to Subic Bay. I have nothing to prove I was there. I also have diabetes and heart problems as well as severe osteoporis. Have you tried to obtain the deck logs from your ship? I have sent for my medical records, but have never heard from that yet. That was a year ago. Maybe I should try again. Chuck
