Thanks John - You must have spent 180+ days in-country. I spent less than that, so my dd-214 says SEA=Yes, Vietnam=NO. But all you need is one day in-country for AO. And when your overseas duties get misplaced or "lost" in Missouri...... The VA says the VSM&RVCM were given to anyone who flew over the country or was sationed on a ship in the Navy. For crying out loud! I was an Air Foot soldier, a Weather Observer who had to be on the ground to assess the weather. I certainly was NOT in the Navy, although I admire my Navy friends. Do you see my dilemma? If they can find my other buddy who I found on the NET who wa at NKP with me, they certainly can find me and be able to trace my route. They now have me lost between Texas when I left, and Oakland when I separated. My lawyer says that looks good in my favor. They would have to explain that. and If I lose to the VA, I'll use my own money to go after the Air Force for capriciously and miliciously losing my records, and even interfering with my Civil Rights! Do we Puerto Ricans not count? You know where I'm heading with this. They're the ones who should be ashamed. They're dealing with a live wire!
