I served with the USAF OSI (Office of Special Investigations)(Air Force Intelligence)in Can Tho from Dec 69 - Dec 70. We lived and worked at the "Hotel #3" compound in Can Tho that also housed Army Intelligence, the USO, and various other military units. Does anybody out there remember the USO or the USAF OSI office that was on the 2nd floor of the compound. Also....I have posted a message of the VA Board. Any Vets with Diabetes are automatically presumed to have agent orange exposure and are automatically considered diabled and will receive a VA disability compensation. I have diabetes and now receive a 20% disability payment every month. If you were in Nam and now have diabetes type II, you automatically get a disability payment if you apply with the VA. My diabetes is controlled with medication and diet control. Others with more severe forms of diabetes (insulin use, complications, etc.) will be granted much more. My 20% disability payment is about $200 a month and is tax free. As an example, a 50% disability rating for a more severe form of diabetes will generate about $700 dollars per month. Go for it....you served your country honorably, while others burned the flag.
