I used to know some Army medics in Can Tho. This dispensary was on a little side street off the the main street going from Eakin to the river and veering off to the left to Ben Xe Moi (the new bus station or terminal). I guess I went to see the medics, when I got my shots for the clap. I was in the USAF and the hospital at Binh Yhuy asked to many questions and threatened to Article 15 me for a little drip. Anyway these guys were regular, Shipman, Schilling and a guy from West Virginia. I had a little hooch around the corner, since I didn't like living in a barrack environment, unless I had to. These medics lived at the dispensary and helped the local populace too. I met a German, Jurgen Figenser, who was a combat medic TDY at that place. Later, I looked him up at Ft Sam when I came back to San Antonio. I appreciated those medics open-minded ways. Anson Barnes
